"Say hello to my little friend!"

I had quite a suprise when I got home from church today. A snake was lying inbetween two of the stepping stones when I was going from my car to the front door.

At first I thought it might be a fake snake and was wondering, "Who put this snake here?" Then I noticed this little black tongue flicking out of it's mouth. So what did I do? Go and get my camera of course. Here are some of the pictures I took. He (I'm assuming it's a he for simplification) moved a little, but not much while I was around.

Becky's World

As the world turns, my life continues in it's relative normalcy. Even though my normal day to day life is pretty boring, mostly just work and occasionally some play, a few exciting things have happened recently in my life since the last time I posted anything.

I guess the first thing is that back in mid-September I transfered to a new store.
I'm still in Orem, just in the South Orem store.

It's about the same distance to my new store as the one I worked at before, which is great. I love it so far.

This is my desk. Well not really MY desk, but it is where I am part of the day sending and answering emails, amoung other things.

Jump foreward a month and 9 days.

On Friday, October 26, 2007 I purchased my first car.
It is so fun to have my own car.

My car (it still doesn't have a name, any suggestions?) has a CD player and I almost never listen to the radio anymore.

I also bought some necessary and non-necessary items for my car like a snowbrush, a tool set, and a steering wheel cover. I remember when Amy got her car and we got all this fun stuff for her. We chose to get her the steering wheel cover with geckos on it. When I was searching for my own steering wheel cover, the geckos were there and I was half tempted to get them. But there were also these cute tree frogs. So I decided to be different and get the cute tree frog that look similar to Amy's geckos, but still show my own flava'. (It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but they're there.)

Other exciting news is that Sandy has gotten and new job and is not going to be stuck at Quizno's for the rest of her life.

She is very excited. She's going to be teaching English in Japan.
And so the world continues to turning, bringing new opportunities and challenges.

confessions of a slacker

boy have I been a slacker in posting on this blog. it's a Saturday afternoon/evening and Cameron is at the hospital today doing doctorly things. so I'm at home with my wonderful children doing childrenly things. so far we have watched a movie twice, gone to the library, went to target and played, played played, in the midst of our day we all took naps, mine of course being the shortest but hey at least I got to take one right?

Katelyn and Dallin have become professional binkie-nappers. it doesn't seem to matter where I hid them, they find them and put them in their mouths for a few minutes only to lose interest and then ditch them in some unsuspecting place where Eventually I find them again and try to hid them again. its a vicious cycle.

we all love Grant and are thrilled to have him in our family.

I'm sure there is more I could write but I'm taking a great rick right now because Dallin is sitting on my lap and he has a talent of turning off the computer in ways I never even knew existed... so I better go before all is lost.

Dallin was hiding a chocolate candy in his costume, we discovered it at the end of the night

The Newest Member!

Elisabeth had her baby boy last night about 11pm. He's 6 lb 11 oz and 19 inches long. Elisabeth said that it was a fast delivery and even though they haven't picked a name yet, he's a happy, healthy boy. Elisabeth texted me this picture and I forwarded it to a friend who emailed to me. I'm sure that Elisabeth will have more pictures later on.
He's so CUTE!

Ah...hmm...Can we slow the world down a little?

Can anyone believe it's the end of August already? Or maybe I should say the MiDDLE OF SEPTMEBER. Time is FLYING! I meant to finish this post and have it up no later then Sept 2nd, but that obviously didn't happen. This weekend was beautiful....the weather is starting to change and it makes me happy. I'm excited about the chill in the air and a few of the leaves changing. I loved fall out here last year and look forward to it this year. And of course with fall comes FOOTBALL.

2 weeks later...

...okay...so it's now the first of October. I decided that I needed to post something...anything and stop putting it off...I'm a great one for putting things off...

My roommate helped me to do my hair and I really liked it. It reminded me of a Jane Austen character...so I took a few pictures of myself...or at least tried :) My friend Emma and I decided that we wanted to be a Jane Austen character for Halloween...fun no?

Relief Society 1st Councilor

This morning around 11 am, my phone rings. I don't recognize the number so I answer with a hint of unsurety in my voice. It's the bishop asking if I could come to church early, around 12:30-12:40 so he could talk with me. I had to pick some one up on my way there, so I gave her a call and arranged to meet her earlier than planned.
That done, eventually got ready, and was out the door by 12, and got to the church by about 12:30. I went to the bishop's office and waited a moment, then sat down with him. We chatted for a short time, then he informed me that the relief society was being reorganized, and that the new president suggested me for the first councilor. I accepted.
During sacrament, we were recognized by the ward, and after church we were set apart.

It's amazing what can happen in a few hours.
